The late gospel singer Betty Bayo’s children, Sky and Danny, are set to live with their father, Prophet Victor Kanyari, following her passing, according to statements from Kanyari’s family.
During a church service held in honour of Bayo, Kanyari’s mother and brother shared heartfelt reflections on the singer’s life and her legacy.

Kanyari’s brother spoke at the service, expressing relief that the children would now be under their father’s care, and would also be introduced to other cousins in the extended family.
“Those kids will go back to Kanyari’s hands, meet their cousins, and we hope they will learn English and continue growing in a loving environment,” he said.

He added that co-parenting without Betty, who was the “glue” holding the family together, would be a challenge.
The service highlighted the deep impact Bayo had on her family and community. It was an emotional gathering where relatives paid tribute to her musical contributions and personal warmth.
In a separate conversation, Prophet Kanyari also opened up about the support he provides to his church community.

Speaking on the widely known KSh 310 offerings, he revealed that he receives between KSh 700,000 to KSh 1 million daily, with over 2,000 congregants attending on good Sundays.
Kanyari said his role extends beyond spiritual guidance, as he assists church members with necessities such as food and rent, and even helps heal those suffering from illness.

When asked about his personal wealth, he humbly stated that he is neither rich nor poor, but somewhere “in between.”
