Hundreds of Gen Zs attended Kaluma Boy’s Thanksgiving service at JCM Church, Ruiru.
On Sunday, JCM Church in Ruiru was filled with young Kenyans who turned up in large numbers for Kaluma Boy’s thanksgiving event. The youth had promised to attend after last week’s mega fundraiser, and true to their word, they came in huge numbers to stand with the family.
During the service, another round of fundraising was organised to continue supporting Kaluma’s family. Contributions poured in, and the moment showed once again the unity and compassion Kenyans have extended to the family.
The highlight of the day came when a special fundraiser was held for Kaluma’s mother. In less than 30 minutes, the congregation raised Sh2 million. The emotional moment left her in tears as she hugged her son in gratitude.
This comes on top of earlier promises, including a full university scholarship for Kaluma to pursue his degree course. Other well-wishers have also pledged continuous support to help the family recover and build a better future.
Many Kenyans have lauded the young generation for standing with Kaluma’s family during their difficult time. They urged them to keep extending the same kindness to other struggling families across the country, reminding them that small acts of unity can change lives.
