United to wear the ack third kit for the first time this season.
Manchester United will step out in their black third strip for the first time this season when they face Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium. The Reds have worn red in all six competitive games so far, while the white away kit only appeared during pre-season.
The black strip, launched in August, pays homage to the iconic away kit worn between 1993 and 1995, a period that included United’s first-ever Double win in the 1993/94 campaign. The kit features a black base, finished with bold yellow-and-blue details, and carries adidas’ Trefoil logo for the second year running.
Ordinarily, the kit would be full black. However, Brentford’s traditional red-and-white shirts are paired with black shorts and socks at home, prompting United to switch to yellow shorts and socks for this fixture only.
United are chasing their first run of back-to-back league victories since May 2024, following their spirited 2-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford last weekend.
Meanwhile, Bryan Mbeumo is set for a return to West London, a place he once called home after netting 70 goals for Brentford between 2019 and 2025.
