”Skuizi rape imekua a tool for extortion” Samidoh accused of rape
Woman sues popular mugithi artiste Samuel Muchoki aka Samidoh, accuses him of rape during 2021 US tour; names police IG, DCI, Attorney General, and Witness Protection Agency for inaction.
A woman has dragged popular Mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki, also known as Samidoh, to court, accusing him of raping her during his 2021 US tour.
According to court documents, the woman referred to as M.R.W. has filed a petition at the High Court in Nairobi targeting high-profile government agencies, the Inspector General of Police, the D.C.I., the D.P.P., the Attorney General, and the Witness Protection Agency.
The woman is accusing the state agencies of failing to investigate and prosecute a sexual offense she alleges took place against her outside the country by Samidoh.
Additionally, her petition is compelling the court to enforce her constitutional rights and invoke provisions of the Sexual Offences Act, which allows the prosecution of sexual offenses committed abroad by its subjects.
Furthermore, she has requested the court to treat her case with urgency despite the ongoing vacation.
Mixed Reactions
The new development has since elicited mixed reactions from netizens.
Speculations are also rife that the case is politically motivated due to the timeline from when the said offense happened to when it’s being pursued.
Subsequently, Samidoh’s exit from the National Police Service has also played out.
We sampled a few of the reactions below.
“Skuizi rape imekua a tool for extortion.”
