Wiper Party leader and Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has launched a blistering attack on President William Ruto’s administration, declaring that the team surrounding the Head of State has failed Kenyans and is largely responsible for the country’s deepening socioeconomic challenges.

Her remarks, blunt and unapologetic, have reignited debate over leadership quality, governance priorities, and accountability within the Kenya Kwanza government.

Speaking during a public forum, Ndeti accused key figures in President Ruto’s inner circle of incompetence, poor judgment, and detachment from the struggles facing ordinary citizens.

She argued that while the President continues to make promises of economic recovery and institutional reform, the individuals tasked with implementing these policies have consistently fallen short.

According to her, ineffective leadership at the top levels of government has translated into policy confusion, weak service delivery, and growing public frustration.

Ndeti pointed to the rising cost of living as a clear indicator of governance failure. She noted that Kenyans are grappling with high food prices, heavy taxation, and reduced disposable income, yet government officials appear more focused on political maneuvering than practical solutions.

In her view, the President’s advisors and senior officials have failed to cushion citizens from economic shocks or offer credible strategies to stimulate growth and job creation.

The Machakos governor also criticized what she described as a culture of political sycophancy within the administration.

She argued that instead of offering honest counsel, some leaders surrounding the President prioritize loyalty over competence, shielding failures rather than confronting them.

This, she warned, undermines effective governance and isolates the President from the realities on the ground.

Wavinya Ndeti’s remarks reflect broader opposition concerns about the direction of the Kenya Kwanza government.

However, her comments have also drawn criticism from government allies, who accuse her of engaging in inflammatory rhetoric for political mileage.

Despite the backlash, Wavinya Ndeti has stood by her statements, insisting that blunt language is sometimes necessary to convey the seriousness of the situation.

She maintained that leaders must be held to account and that silence in the face of failure amounts to complicity.
