The current EALA MP Winnie Odinga has reposted a chilling 2017 image from her own timeline: a police water cannon blasting protesters along Nairobi’s Parliament Road on November 17, 2017 the day NASA supporters attempted to block Uhuru Kenyatta’s swearing-in after the controversial repeat election.

The original post, made when she was in her twenties, carried no caption back then. This evening, eight years to the minute, she let the picture speak alone about the past of how her recent fallen father died.

No caption. No emoji. Just the image, reposted eight years to the minute leaving Kenyans talking alot of what might be cooking.

The timing is surgical. Raila Odinga was buried barely a month ago. Last week in Mombasa, Winnie demanded an immediate National Delegates Convention to review ODM’s marriage with President Ruto’s government a demand the old guard has ignored.

Today’s water-cannon throwback feels like her answer to that silence.

Posted on her Instagram platform the post has left many in question as it comes just hours after his exchange with her uncle, Oburu about ODM’s next step.
