ODM Party Chair Gladys Wanga and Senator Junet Mohamed had previously vowed to defend and stand with the ODM Party, dismissing claims that it could sink ahead of the 2027 elections.
They insisted that the party is strong and that members are committed to its unity and future.
However, speaking on Thursday afternoon during an interview with a local radio station, Senator Eddy Oketch warned that the party could face serious challenges if members do not align.
He said that they, as ODM members, might sink the party if differences within the party continue to grow as the elections approach.
Senator Oketch revealed that his warning comes because members are coming up with different speeches and opinions every day.
He cautioned that such disagreements could affect the party’s image and weaken its chances in the upcoming elections.
“If we keep having different messages and ideas, it may harm the party,” he said.
He added that for the ODM Party to remain strong, members must unite and speak with one voice.
According to him, unity and a common goal are key for the party to succeed and remain a force in Kenyan politics.
He urged all party members to put aside their differences and focus on collective growth rather than individual opinions.
