Trump Dismisses Epstein Files As ‘Hoax’, Labels Believers ‘Weaklings’ In Outburst
In a statement shared on his Truth Social platform, Trump characterized the renewed scrutiny of the Jeffrey Epstein case as a “hoax” and mocked those who lend it credibility.
He likened this situation to earlier accusations, such as the Steele Dossier, Hunter Biden’s laptop, and alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election, arguing that Democrats are merely recycling fabricated narratives in a bid to maintain relevance.
On Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump launched an attack against Democrats and his political adversaries, dismissing the focus on Epstein as unfounded. He asserted that some former supporters had fallen for what he referred to as “bullshit” orchestrated by his opponents.
His statement included: “The Radical Left Democrats have struck gold again! Just like with the FAKE and thoroughly discredited Steele Dossier, the deceitful 51 ‘Intelligence’ Agents, the Laptop from Hell—which they insisted was from Russia (it actually came from Hunter Biden’s bathroom!)—and even the Russia hoax itself; these completely fabricated stories were simply tactics to obscure Crooked Hillary Clinton’s significant defeat in the 2016 Presidential Election.
These scams and hoaxes are all that Democrats excel at. It’s their only skill set.
They lack governance ability, policy acumen, and talent for selecting winning candidates. Unlike Republicans, they remain united.”
He continued: “Their latest SCAM is what we will forever refer to as the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax. My former supporters have fallen for this ‘bullshit’ hook, line, and sinker.
They haven’t grasped their lesson—and likely never will—even after being deceived by the Lunatic Left for eight long years.”
“I have achieved more success in six months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history,” he added. “Yet all these people want to discuss—encouraged by Fake News and desperate Democrats—is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.”
“Let these weaklings continue their work for the Democrats; do not even consider discussing our remarkable and unparalleled successes because I no longer desire their support! Thank you for addressing this issue. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” Trump concluded.
In parallel developments, speculation surrounding a rumored “Epstein client list” has become highly coveted among supporters of the MAGA movement. Advocates believe that its release would unveil numerous liberal elites allegedly tied to Epstein’s child sex-trafficking activities—serving as evidence of profound corruption within Democratic ranks.
The intrigue surrounding Epstein’s files has also provided fertile ground for QAnon conspiracy theorists who leveraged secrecy claims to promote notions of a “deep state” cover-up safeguarding a global pedophile network—ideas that gained traction within wider MAGA circles.
Throughout his campaign, Donald Trump consistently promised to declassify these files, including any potential client list.
Before taking office, allies such as Kash Patel—who would later be appointed at the FBI—and Dan Bongino—a former Secret Service agent—frequently appeared on various media platforms appealing directly to QAnon enthusiasts and those intrigued by Epstein conspiracies while advocating for file releases and accusing the Biden administration of hiding them for political gain.
Soon after the Fourth of July weekend, however, a memo released quietly by the Justice Department created quite a stir.
Officials conducting a “systematic review” of Epstein’s files stated there was no incriminating ‘client list’ found.
Moreover, it confirmed no evidence existed suggesting that Epstein blackmailed influential figures; it also reiterated that he died by suicide in his Brooklyn jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.
Following this memo’s issuance, turmoil ensued within MAGA circles as some of Trump’s most devoted backers openly revolted against his administration. They accused it of covering up information related to Epstein and demanded Attorney General Pam Bondi’s resignation due to her handling of these files.
Tensions regarding Epstein’s files have been rising since February when Pam Bondi claimed during an appearance on Fox News that she was currently reviewing Epstein’s client list.
Just one week later at a White House press event, Bondi handed out binders—allegedly containing “declassified” documents related to Epstein—to about two dozen MAGA influencers.
However, recipients quickly realized these binders offered little new information. In response to criticism, Bondi placed blame on the FBI for withholding essential records related to Epstein while stating she had tasked Kash Patel with gathering any missing files.
Then in June—as tensions between him and Donald Trump escalated—Elon Musk exacerbated matters by alleging without evidence that comprehensive details about Epstein had not been disclosed because they implicated Trump himself; Musk subsequently deleted this post.
