Dr Boni Khalwale has warned the government against arresting him and Trans Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya.
In an address to the media, Khalwale warned of immense consequences if the state effects an arrest against the two politicians.
According to him, demonstrations will erupt in Trans Nzoia County, Bungoma, Kakamega and also Nairobi if the two are arrested.
This comes at a time when the security detail of the two leaders have been withdrawn. In a communication earlier today, Governor Natembeya revealed that his security had been withdrawn at 12 midnight without any warning nor explanation.

Today in the afternoon again, Boni Khalwale’s security was equally withdrawn.
The UDA Senator has now asked the government to ensure the security of the two and avoid the temptation to arrest them since it risks plunging the country to violence.
The two have found themselves in trouble for their participation in the upcoming by-elections in Western Kenya.
