Daughter of Betty Bayo, Sky Victor, has provided the most detailed account yet from the tough hours that led to her mother’s last moments.
In a YouTube video shared on Sunday, November 23, 2025, Sky spoke calmly but emotionally as she walked her audience through events over the weekend;
she described a situation that spiralled far quicker than anybody had foreseen.
According to Sky, the turning point came last Friday, a day before her mum’s condition became critical.
Tests were running for weeks due to Betty’s deteriorating condition despite treatment. That Friday, an answer finally came from the medical team.
Tests showed that she had leukaemia, a diagnosis which was a heavy shock.
Sky remembered it clearly: her mother listened silently while the doctors told her all the details; she could ask some questions, but she was mostly listening to the weight of what was being told.
She said her mom was in shock but tried to be strong and remain hopeful for her treatment to come sooner.
But all of that changed Saturday morning. Sky says her mom woke up that morning feeling weaker than usual and struggling to balance herself
Throughout the day, the condition of Betty deteriorated, and the family raced to call the doctors.
Sky said the atmosphere in the room was tense and confusing, with everyone trying to understand what was happening.
She remembered holding her mother’s hand as the medical team worked in urgency to stabilize her.
Sky recalled how she continued talking to her, praying her voice would offer some comfort in the chaos surrounding them.
It was in those moments that Sky began to realize just how serious the situation had become.
