Kenyan musician and businessman Krg the Don has announced his intention to contest the Nairobi Senatorial seat in the 2027 General Election, setting the stage for what could become one of the most closely watched political battles in the capital.
The outspoken entertainer revealed that he will challenge the current Nairobi Senator, Edwin Sifuna, whom he believes poses no significant threat to his ambitions.
Speaking confidently during an interview, Krg said he is fully prepared for the political journey ahead and has already set aside more than Ksh.500 million to fund his campaigns across the county.
He insisted that finances will not hinder his bid, citing his numerous investments and business ventures that he says have positioned him as one of the most financially stable aspirants in Nairobi politics.

According to him, the resources he has accumulated over the years will allow him to run a vigorous, countywide campaign targeting all constituencies and voter groups.
Krg expressed pride in what he described as strong grassroots support, noting that he has already established logistics teams and detailed plans on how he intends to persuade Nairobi residents to back his senatorial dream.
He emphasised that his political strategy is well thought out and designed to resonate with urban voters who are looking for new leadership and bold ideas. In his view, this gives him an upper hand over Senator Sifuna, whom he dismissed as a leader he can easily defeat at the ballot.
The musician further stated that his entry into politics is motivated by a desire to influence change in Nairobi and offer what he called practical solutions to challenges facing city residents. With his declaration now public, political analysts predict that the Nairobi Senate race could attract national attention as the 2027 campaigns gain momentum.
