A family in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, is breathing a sigh of relief after their daughter, businesswoman Doreen Jepkemboi, was found alive following a terrifying kidnapping ordeal.
Doreen, who had left home on Saturday to purchase maize at Jua Kali, was abducted by unknown men driving a Probox vehicle near Marura police station. Instead of stopping at her destination, the vehicle sped off, leaving her in shock.
Her disappearance immediately raised alarm within the family, who rushed to report the matter at Ainabtich Police Station.

Fortunately, hours later, Doreen was found dumped by the roadside, shaken but alive. Good Samaritans assisted her before police arrived at the scene. She was then reunited with her family, who embraced her with tears of gratitude.
Although the exact details of what happened during the abduction remain unclear, police are now piecing together the events and reviewing leads to identify those behind the kidnapping.
