Former Lugari and Likuyani Member of Parliament Dr Enoch Kibunguchy died, prompting his family to seek clarity on the circumstances surrounding his passing.
The death occurred in Eldoret, where he had been receiving medical care at a private hospital earlier this week.
Hospital sources confirmed that Kibunguchy had been admitted after developing health complications that required close medical monitoring.

The death happened shortly after admission, a development that surprised members of his immediate family.
Relatives raised concerns over the speed of events leading to his death and requested detailed medical explanations.
The family sought clarification without presenting any verified claims regarding wrongdoing or external involvement.
Family representatives formally requested access to treatment records and hospital documentation related to his final admission.
Hospital administrators processed the case under standard medical and legal procedures governing inpatient deaths.
By the time of reporting, neither the hospital nor relevant authorities had released an official medical report to the public.
Dr Kibunguchy previously served as Member of Parliament for Lugari Constituency after succeeding the late Cyrus Jirongo.
He later represented Likuyani Constituency following the administrative subdivision of Lugari.

Beyond politics, he trained and practiced as a medical professional before and during his public service career.
The death attracted attention across Western Kenya due to his long-standing political presence and professional background.
Residents and former constituents acknowledged his passing while awaiting further clarification on the circumstances.
The matter remained unresolved publicly as the family awaited official documentation from the relevant institutions.
