Police Officers in Mombasa Launch Arrest on Fraudsters After Conning Top Catholic Father ksh 3.7Million in a Fake Car Importation Deal

Detectives in Mombasa are searching for a conman accused of conning multiple clients in Mombasa, Nairobi and other parts of the country while posing as a Car importer.

According to the police, the suspect who has been identified as Richard Amanya has been a serial fraudster who has been conning Car buyers before disappearing with their money.

Detectives said they decided to investigate the 29 year old man after over 5 cases were reported in separate police stations across the country on the month of December alone.

He does not have a car yard and has been saying he has friends who can facilitate the importation of these vehicle.

Latest reports have confirmed that he conned a church after receiving ksh 3.2 million to buy a Toyota for the Father.

He said that the vehicle was going to be brought to the country after 60 days.

He later blocked and disappeared from social media platforms and disappeared forcing the church to report the issue to the police.

Detectives from the directorate of criminal investigations have said that they are searching for him.

Police also warned Kenyans to be vigilant during the ongoing holidays when most fall victims to conmen.
