Man United stop a European club from taking JJ Gabriel.

Manchester United have managed to keep hold of one of their brightest youth stars, JJ Gabriel, after strong interest from a leading European team. The 14-year-old had been linked with a move abroad, but the club stepped in quickly to protect their future star.

Gabriel has been part of United’s youth academy since he was eight. His impact has been clear this season, scoring seven goals in six Under-18 games while also helping the Under-17 side win the Premier League Cup.

A crucial meeting was held at Carrington with Gabriel, his family, and club leaders. The talks focused on his pathway and role in the long term. The meeting came as reports claimed a European club was already holding advanced discussions to lure him away.

Head coach Ruben Amorim has not hidden his admiration for the teenager. He praised his bold style of play and even compared him to Cristiano Ronaldo at the same age.

“JJ has the flair, the confidence, and the hunger you rarely see at such a young age,” Amorim said. “We believe he can become one of the best with the right support.”

The decision is a major win for United’s academy, which has been under pressure from big clubs across Europe looking to snatch talent. Gabriel will now continue in youth competitions this season, with plans already in place to gradually introduce him to senior training sessions.
