Leeds United have signed Dominic Calvert-Lewin after his Everton exit.

Leeds United have confirmed the arrival of former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.

The England forward ended his nine-year spell at Goodison Park in June, leaving after scoring 71 goals in 273 appearances.

Head coach Daniel Farke described Calvert-Lewin as a player who perfectly fits Leeds’ plans.

“Dominic is a proven Premier League player. He ticks all the boxes we want in a signing… this is a chance for him to revive his career and reach the heights he once achieved,” Farke said.

Despite his arrival, Farke confirmed the striker will not face his former club Everton in Monday’s season opener.

Speaking after sealing the move, Calvert-Lewin admitted the switch to Elland Road feels like starting all over again.

“It is like walking in today on the first day at school. I feel like a kid again, starting somewhere new and just can’t wait to play,” he said.

The 28-year-old last played for England at Euro 2021, where he scored four goals in 11 international appearances.

Now, with a new club and a fresh challenge, Calvert-Lewin will be hoping to overcome his injury struggles and play a key role in Leeds’ survival push.
