Late Dossi will be laid to rest in the Chikwawa district tomorrow.

Following a protracted illness, Moses Dossi, a former member of parliament and minister of sports for Malawi, passed away at the age of 70.

Dossi held office during the administration of former President Bakili Muluzi. During that period, he was also a member of parliament for the district of Chikwawa West, which borders Mozambique.

 

According to reports, he passed away while getting care at the Adventist hospital, a well-known private facility in the business center of Blantyre.

The Football Association of Malawi President, Fleetwood Haiya, has noted Dossi’s outstanding commitment to sports in the interim.

Many of us have benefited from Dossi’s leadership and guidance throughout the years, thanks to his in-depth knowledge of the game of football. We will never forget Dossi as a modest, patriotic, astute, and fervent football fan and media professional who devoted his life to improving the caliber of sports in general and football in Malawi in particular, Haiya wrote.

Susan Dossi, his daughter and the Chikwawa West Constituency member of parliament, revealed this morning that her father passed away in Blantyre early on Thursday morning.

Program of Late Honor Late Rossi: The body will be brought to St. Pius for a church service on April 19, 2024, at approximately nine in the morning. From there, it will go to Chapananga, Chikwawa.

On Saturday, April 20, 2024, a burial will take place at Chapananga, Chikwawa.
