Indiana Lawyer Mark S. Zuckerberg Sues Meta Over Account Suspensions

Indiana lawyer Mark S. Zuckerberg is suing Meta over repeated account suspensions.

An Indiana bankruptcy lawyer, Mark S. Zuckerberg, has taken Meta to court, accusing the company of unfairly suspending his account multiple times. The issue arises from his name, which he happens to share with Meta founder Mark Elliot Zuckerberg.

According to the attorney, the repeated bans have damaged his reputation and cost him valuable clients. He also argues that Meta removed ads worth $11,000, despite him paying for the campaigns.

He compared it to buying a billboard, only to have it covered before anyone can see it.

The lawyer says he has submitted all required proof over the years, including IDs, credit cards, and even his own photos, to confirm that he is not pretending to be anyone else. Despite this, he claims his account has been disabled five times in eight years.

“I’m Mark Steven. And he’s Mark Elliot,” he explained, making the distinction clear.

Meta admitted that its most recent suspension in May was a mistake and restored his account. The company issued a statement thanking him for his patience and promised to work on preventing similar errors in the future.

The confusion has not only affected his business but also landed him in unrelated legal trouble. He once found himself mistakenly listed in a lawsuit filed by the state of Washington.

The attorney has since launched a website to document his experiences, warning that having a famous name is not as amusing as people think.

“It’s not funny. Not when they take my money,” he said.
