Popular media personality and brand influencer, Toke Makinwa, has taken to social media to express her frustration and exhaustion amidst the prevailing economic challenges in the country.

The 39-year-old TV and radio presenter, known for her outspoken nature, lamented the harsh reality she encountered upon her return from a foreign trip.

Toke Makinwa voiced her concerns regarding the ongoing fuel scarcity and the recent hike in electricity tariffs, which have exacerbated the economic hardships faced by many Nigerians.

In a post shared on her social media page, she bemoaned the state of affairs, particularly highlighting the impact on her as an independent woman.

“Yoooo, landed in Lagos to all this madness, petrol scarcity, electricity tariff hike, diesel prices not smiling. What is all these? Independent woman don taya [tire] o.”
