A confident publication by the People Daily media group on Saturday 27, December 2025 has disclosed to the public youthful and upcoming politician, who is allegedly being groomed to succeed and replace Nairobi county Senator Hon Edwin Sifuna as the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Secretary General (SG), amid ongoing friction among heavyweights in the political outfit.
As per the publication, senior ODM officials are continuously growing displeased with Sifuna’s firm resistance against the Broad-Based Government (BBG) arrangement, that elevated a number of ODM leaders to influential positions in Ruto’s led Kenya Kwanza administration.
As a result, it has been established that the senior ODM officials are now considering of either suspending or completely expelling Edwin Sifuna from the party, ahead of critical and defining moment when the party is considering of entering into fresh power sharing talks with H.E President William Ruto, as the 2027 general election continues to draw near.
As a result, it has now been established that should Sifuna get isolated and frustrated to decamp the ODM party, youthful politician and activist Kasmuel Mac Oure is now being groomed to take over the influential role to serve as the ODM party spokesperson.
The source highlighted that by tapping Mac Oure to serve as ODM Secretary General, the party will succeed in winning the souls of youthful Kenyans, popularly known as Gen-Zs.
Over the past few months, Kasmuel Mac Oure has turned out to be an ardent critic of Mr Sifuna, and has always been branding him as a traitor who has ill motives against the outfit.
Kasmuel Mac Oure has also been channeling unending criticism against Edwin Sifuna for his tough stance against the ODM-UDA collaboration, to the point of daring him to resign and exit from the party.
