Famous Kisii police officer Samuel Ondimu Ngare has denied a viral social media graphic that falsely linked him to political remarks about former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi.
The image spread online on December 21 2025 and showed Ngare beside a quote claiming he was denied promotion during Matiangi’s time in office and would never support him for president.

Ngare responded on his official Facebook page and clearly stated the message was fake. He said he had never spoken about promotions or mixed his service with politics at any time.
He explained that he serves in the Administration Police and not the Kenya Police. Because of this difference he noted that ranks such as OCPD do not exist in his unit.
Ngare urged bloggers and social media users to check facts before sharing posts that damage reputations. He said careless reporting creates confusion and unnecessary tension within communities.
In a lighter message he asked bloggers from Kisii to use other photos and avoid fake stories. He joked that such posts raise his profile even when they are false.photk

The fake quote emerged at a time of growing political debate around Matiangi who is seen as a possible presidential contender in 2027.
Both men come from the Gusii region which has often been targeted with divisive political messaging online.Ngare’s quick response reinforced his image as a disciplined officer focused on truth and community service rather than political fights.
