BBC Sport reports Arsenal and Raya agreed to new terms earlier this summer.
Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has reportedly agreed to an improved contract with the club, though the new deal has not yet been officially announced.
According to BBC Sport, the agreement was finalised earlier this summer and includes a significant pay rise for Raya, who previously earned around £100,000 per week. The duration of his contract remains unchanged, running until 2028, with an option for extension.
This approach mirrors that of Leandro Trossard, who also agreed to improved terms earlier in the summer without extending his existing deal, which expires in 2027.
Since arriving from Brentford initially on loan in 2023, Raya has become one of the Premier League’s top goalkeepers. He has won the Golden Glove in consecutive seasons, sharing last season’s award with Nottingham Forest’s Mats Sels.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are working to secure the futures of other key players. Jurrien Timber is in talks over a new long-term deal, while discussions with Bukayo Saka are reportedly at an advanced stage.
The club recently confirmed William Saliba’s five-year extension and Gabriel Magalhaes’s contract renewal until 2029, signalling the Gunners’ intent to maintain squad stability as they continue their title ambitions.
