A video showing a crowd chanting Tutam at Rigathi Gachagua’s Mathira backyard has circulated on social media eliciting mixed reactions.
According to the video taken during an event at Karatina in Mathira Constituency, Tutam chants rented the air.
This happened today during an event organized by area MP Eric Wamumbi. Updates issued by the MP indicate that the event brought together hundreds of locals for the Mwakia Maitu Christmas Seminar.
Wamumbi revealed that he distributed Christmas goodies during the occasion that saw hundreds jubilantly chant ‘Tutam’.

The Mathira MP, in the update, claimed that the locals affirmed that they will re-elect him as area MP and President Ruto for second terms in 2027.
“Inside the stadium, we had my 15,000 mothers and sisters seated with their son in the Mwakīa Maitŭ Christmas seminar.
And outside the gate we had another 4,000 men and women and all of them had one thin in common, wamumbi ni Tutam, William ni Tutam. We have shared Christmas with all of them. Merry Christmas” Reads Eric Wamumbi’s update.

The video has elicited mixed reactions considering that the chants were made at Gachagua’s Mathira backyard.
