Chicco declares he would not testify in Senzo Meyiwa case, ”Senzo, was not shot by robbers”

Chicco Twala asserts that Longwe ought to be put in jail if he killed Senzo.

Chicco Twala is a music and film producer, He has come out swinging after being notified by one of the accused’s defense attorneys on Monday that he has to be subpoenaed to appear in the Senzo Meyiwa trial.

On Monday, Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng was informed by Thulani Mngomezulu, the attorney for the first accused, Muzi Sibiya, that he would like Twala, Orlando Pirates manager Dr. Irvin Khoza, and Meyiwa’s baby mom, Afro-pop singer Kelly Khumalo, to be compelled to testify in court.

ROBBERS DID NOT SHOT SENZO.

The declaration read aloud in court on Monday by Senzo’s older brother, Sifiso Meyiwa, served as the impetus for the upcoming subpoenas.

Sifiso stated that Dr. Khoza informed him that Meyiwa was shot dead in October 2024 and that the five people who are being charged with murder were not present in the house. According to Sifiso’s statement, he gave three separate statements to police investigators between 2014 and 2018, claiming that in 2014, Pirates boss Khoza informed him that the story of robbers entering the residence and shooting Senzo was untrue.

He claimed that Khoza had informed him that the narrative was fabricated and submitted to the media. “On October 28, 2014, when I was at Kempton Park getting ready for my brother’s burial, Mr. Rufus dropped me off at the Orlando Pirates offices and brought me to the reception area.

A Porsche Cayenne driven by Mr. Irvin Khoza and his son eventually pulled up. I was informed that we would select a casket by Mr. Irvin Khoza. Once we arrived at the funeral parlor, the coffin was selected. Mandisa, my sister-in-law, was also there when the casket was selected.

I would like to report that my brother, Senzo Meyiwa, was not shot by robbers, according to Mr. Irvin Khoza. These were Mr. Irvin Khoza’s exact remarks,” he stated in his statement. He went on to say that Senzo was accidentally shot during a quarrel between Zandi and her ex-boyfriend, Longwe Twala, who is Chicco’s son, rather than by outsiders. “I would like this matter to be investigated to find out who told Mr Irvin Khoza what happened inside the house when my brother was killed.”

He sees no justification for testifying.

Twala chastised Mngomezulu in an exclusive interview with ZiMoja for his insistence that he should be made to testify in the murder case simply because his kid was there when Senzo was killed. He even referred to Mngomezulu as a flimsy, inept attorney. He claimed that because his gun was taken for ballistic testing and the results were negative, he does not understand why he should be called as a witness.

Twala also criticized Sifiso, Mayiwa’s brother, stating he need to give the police room to finish their work. Twala expressed his confusion about the reason behind Khoza’s and his subpoena. “What can the state obtain from my testimony or that of Irvin? When Senzo was killed, we weren’t present. Bringing my name and Irvin into the Senzo Meyiwa murder case is nothing more than this fly-by-night activist Mngomezulu’s attention-seeking stunt. The man is not interested in Senzo’s justice—rather, he is just trying to sell himself. He’s bringing up an old grievance that Sifiso brought up a while back. He continued, “Mngomezulu is beyond incompetent.

HE ASKED THE SENZO FAMILY

Twala continued, “I called Senzo’s family today and begged them to tell Sifiso to let the police do their job. It is him who is disgracefully presenting Senzo’s criminal case. After learning the truth about the weapon that killed his brother, he fired Gerrie Nel. He continued: “My gun and Carlos Mncube’s (one of the accused) were taken for ballistics tests, and it was confirmed beyond reasonable doubt by the ballistic experts and Bheki Cele that it was Carlos’ gun that shot and killed Senzo,” according to him. Twala added that he occasionally questions Sifiso’s desire for Senzo’s justice.

Twala is steadfast in his belief that Longwe ought to be put in jail if it is established that he killed Senzo. “The first time we learned that Longwe had unintentionally shot Senzo was in 2019, and the accusations that the inept Mngomezulu is voicing concern over were made by Sifiso Meyiwa. Furthermore, I lack proof that Longwe or the occupants of the house are innocent or guilty; therefore, the authorities must intervene and find Senzo’s murders. “As I previously stated, let my son rot in prison if the state establishes beyond a reasonable doubt that he killed Senzo.”
