Kenyan singer Bahati recently disclosed that he spent Sh157,000 on a ring for his wife, Diana Marua, as part of their preparations for their white wedding.
The ring was purchased in Dubai. Bahati shared this news with his followers, saying, “Sh157,000 is what I spent on my wife’s new ring in Dubai 🤑 I am now in the mood for planning #TheBahatis’ Big Wedding and I can’t wait to show what gift I got for her🌹.”
The couple has also addressed the reasons behind the delay of their highly anticipated white wedding. In a recent media interview, Bahati explained that their planned wedding date of October 20, which coincided with their anniversary, has been postponed due to Diana’s ongoing delays.
“We had planned our wedding for October 20, which is our anniversary day. But now Diana has been postponing every day. It’s not me anymore,” the musician said.
However, he expressed uncertainty because of Diana’s indecision. “I think she’s talking about a date in February, so I don’t want to discuss it further until she makes it official. I’ve been announcing it, and it makes me look like a clout chaser,” he added.
Bahati also expressed his frustration with Diana’s repeated delays, stating, “You wake up and say December 12 wedding, then Diana is like, ‘Babe, that time people are busy, we will be traveling…’ I’m like, ‘But it’s your day? It’s about you.’ She complained on Netflix, and I suggested October 20, but… I think she needs to decide.”
Vera Sidika on marriage
This past weekend, socialite Vera Sidika reflected on her past by sharing a clip from an old interview where she strongly opposed the idea of marriage—years before she eventually wed singer Brown Mauzo.
Now a mother of two, Vera expressed her surprise at what led her to change her mind about marriage after being adamant against it for so long.
In the old interview, Vera had firmly declared that she would never marry. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she unexpectedly fell in love with Brown Mauzo, married him, and had two children together.
Sadly, their marriage ended in August 2023 after the couple mutually decided to separate.
Vera now believes that marriage is no longer part of her future and candidly shared her thoughts, stating that she views marriage as a scam.
“This was 8 years ago. I always said I never wanted to get married. Don’t know what happened during COVID-19, but I’ve been there, and trust me: marriage is a scam! Never again!” she wrote.
Meanwhile, Brown Mauzo appears to have moved on and recently hinted at the possibility of marrying again.
In mid-August, after celebrating his one-year anniversary with his partner Kabinga, Mauzo suggested he might be ready to tie the knot.
This angel is giving me vibes to marry again. I confirm, let’s have a big ceremony soon. Your prayers,” he posted alongside a photo of Kabinga in a striking red dress.
He also shared the R&B song “I Can Love You Like That” by All 4 One, quoting lyrics about finding Prince Charming and hoping for a fairytale romance.
