Arsenal won 2-0 against Brentford in the Premier League. The victory restored their five-point lead after Manchester City’s midweek win.

Arsenal entered the match under pressure after Manchester City’s 5-4 win at Fulham reduced the gap to two points.
Mikel Arteta’s team focused on control and simple play, avoiding mistakes and keeping the game calm.

Arsenal took the lead in the 11th minute.
Noni Madueke backheeled the ball to Ben White on the right. White lifted a perfect cross into the box, and Mikel Merino headed the ball down into the net.
It was his third goal of the season and showed how important he has become in midfield.

Brentford tried to fight back but only created one major chance.
Kevin Schade’s header forced a brilliant save from David Raya, who pushed the ball onto the crossbar.
That was Brentford’s only shot on target, as Arsenal kept pressing and blocking their attacks.

Arteta brought in Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka to add more energy.
Riccardo Calafiori tested Kelleher with a low shot, and Declan Rice had another strong effort saved.
Merino later missed a rebound, and Rice went off with a minor injury.

Arsenal secured the win in stoppage time.
Saka cut inside and fired a shot that Kelleher saved, but the ball bounced up and crossed the line, confirming the second goal.

The victory showed Arsenal’s strength and focus.
Brentford worked hard but could not match Arsenal’s level.
With Manchester City dropping points elsewhere, Arsenal look more confident as they chase their first Premier League title since 2004.
