A shooting in the United States left at least two people injured this Friday at a shopping center in California during Black Friday sales , according to a report from the San Jose Police Department.
The shooting occurred at the Valley Fair Mall in San Jose , in central California, where users shared images on social media of them hiding among clothes, running for cover in stores, or screaming with their shopping bags.
Authorities transported the two injured people to a nearby hospital, the Police Department said in a report on its social media, which did not clarify the identity or health status of the victims.
The agency stated that “this shooting appears to be an isolated incident and there is no active shooter .”
“However, officials are evacuating and clearing the mall to confirm that there is no persistent threat to public health,” he said.
