Youthful activist Kasmuel Mcoure has hit out on Nairobi County Senator Edwin Sifuna, accusing him of cheering United Democratic Alliance UDA (UDA’s) party Nanam Ward victory, while he (Sifuna) failed to secure a win for his own party in the Kariobangi North Ward by-election.
In a message shared on the X platform, Kasmuel Mcoure suggested that Edwin Sifuna had been dedicating much of his effort to address irrelevant matters within the ODM party that could create conflicts, and also lead to undermining of the spirit of broad-based cooperation with the UDA administration.

According to Kasmuel Mcoure, if Edwin Sifuna had directed the same energy he uses to advocate for “party dissidents” toward campaigning for Michael Ouma Majua, in Kariobangi North Ward, ODM would have easily won the by-election early in the morning.
Mcoure argued that Ouma Majua’s victory would have been far more significant than celebrating UDA’s win in Nanam Ward, Turkana county.
Specifically, Kasmuel stated that Nanam Ward is not an ODM victory, and that Kariobangi North Ward should have been, and could have been, a crucial win for ODM party.
Mcoure also reminded the Nairobi County Senator that he had only one key responsibility during the recently concluded by-elections: to defend and advance ODM’s interests in critical areas such as Kariobangi North Ward.

Additionally, Mcoure said that the ODM party will hold Sifuna accountable for his actions and for failing to provide the communication necessary to support the party’s strategic objectives.
Prior to Kasmuel’s reaction on X, Sifuna had lauded the UDA outfit for winning in Nanam, thus attracting huge public attention on social media platforms as well as from his major critics
