YouTuber and mother of three, Diana Marua, has candidly discussed her life before settling down with musician Bahati. In a recent video, she admitted that she once dated men primarily for financial gain.
“In my life, I have done things I am ashamed to admit, but that was then. I want my experience to uplift someone. For a while, I dated men for money because I wanted a good life,” Diana explained.
She described having multiple boyfriends who supported different aspects of her lifestyle, paying rent, buying clothes, and taking her out.
Diana refuted claims that she married Bahati for his wealth. She said that when they met, she already had the financial means to live comfortably.
“Even when Bahati met me, I used different cars each time we met. He asked me, ‘Where do you get all these cars?’ I didn’t have a job then, but I lived well. I had to lie that I ran a car rental company because one of my boyfriends actually owned the business,” she explained.
Diana also revealed that she had been involved with a married man, who offered her a car, a house, and even one of the children she had hoped for. However, she decided to end the relationship, acknowledging that such arrangements are temporary and unsustainable.
“These methods are ineffective. They only last for a season. He has nothing to lose and will grow tired of you and choose someone else,” she said.
