In the Bundesliga, Cologne demolished Hamburg 4-1, while Hoffenheim beat Wolfsburg 3-2, sinking them even further in the standings.
In Serie A, Inter celebrated a thrilling victory at Verona, 2-1 with an own goal in the dying minutes.
