Nigerian influencer Jay Boogie reportedly lost both kidneys after a failed hip surgery.
Daniel Anthony Nsikan, better known as Jay Boogie, a Nigerian fashion influencer, has been left fighting for his life after a hip surgery went terribly wrong.
The procedure, which he reportedly undertook to appear more feminine, resulted in both kidneys failing.
Jennifer Loveth, a doctor and close friend of Jay Boogie, broke the news through her Instagram story.
“At this stage, Jayboogie needs a kidney transplant. Both kidneys have failed. We prayed and wished it wouldn’t come to this stage, but here it is. I’ll give more updates soon,” she wrote.
Just two weeks ago, Jay Boogie went public, accusing his doctor of mishandling the surgery. He revealed that the botched operation left him unable to urinate for three weeks.
“My life changed, I don’t even know it anymore, and I have been facing kidney problems and many others. I’ve had plasmapheresis, and I’m still not getting better. The test results show my health is deteriorating. I need serious and urgent help,” Jay Boogie posted on Instagram.
The news has shocked fans and sparked heated conversations online. Many have expressed sympathy, while others are urging immediate medical assistance to save his life.
