Mugithi singer Samidoh testifies in court over nephew’s death.
Popular Mugithi star Samuel Muchoki Ndirangu, better known as Samidoh, has spoken out during an inquest into the death of his nephew, Jeff Mwathi. The hearing took place at the Milimani Law Courts before Magistrate Rose Ndumbi.
Samidoh told the court that he doubts Jeff’s death at an apartment in Roysambu, Kasarani, was from natural causes. He insisted that the truth must be uncovered.
The singer described Jeff as a healthy young man with no signs of depression or suicidal thoughts. According to him, there was nothing in Jeff’s life to suggest he could take his own life.
Addressing public speculation, Samidoh dismissed claims of a rivalry between him and DJ Fatxo, who is the prime suspect in the matter. He stated that they both come from Nyandarua County and work in the same music genre without competition.
Samidoh also revealed that Jeff and DJ Fatxo had a business connection. He recalled seeing the two together just a few months before the incident.
The court will continue to listen to more witnesses in the coming weeks as investigations into the cause of Jeff’s death proceed.
