The shooting erupted shortly before 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, as a back-to-school service was taking place in the church adjacent to Annunciation Elementary School in Minneapolis, USA , which serves students ages 6 to 14. At least two children were killed and seventeen people were injured in the shooting. The shooter, a young man in his twenties with no notable criminal record, killed himself after his rampage.
