The American rapper Wiz Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, was recently caught with drugs in Romania.

The accident happened while he was performing at the Beach Please! Festival in the Costinești town in the county of Constanța.
People on social media shared videos of Khalifa smoking marijuana on stage, which led to his arrest in Romania.
Khalifa possessed over 18 grams of cannabis.
A statement from the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) said, “[Khalifa] possessed over 18 grams of cannabis (a high-risk drug) and consumed (onstage) another amount of cannabis in the form of an artisanal cigarette.” this happened during a performance at a music festival in Constanța county’s Costinești resort.
In Romania, it is against the law to use marijuana for fun, so Khalifa’s activities were against the law there.
After being arrested, Khalifa apologized to the public on the microblogging site X, saying, “Last night’s show was amazing.” It wasn’t an insult to the people of Romania that I lit up on stage. They were nice to me and let me go. I’ll be back soon. Next time, don’t bring a big a** joint.
His arrest and media attention
The arrest has received considerable media attention, with many sites reporting on it. According to The Hollywood Reporter, cops led the rapper out of the venue. He was later released from custody.
The event also brought attention to the current drug campaigns in Romania, such as the one led by YouTuber Andrei Selaru with the help of the Romanian Interior Ministry.
