Tay Grin yells “fokofu” at the Birmingham Africa music organizer.

“am in the company of my people”, require no protection! tell that guy to fokofu!!
fokofu!!! DJ, play that shit .
That was Malawi Nyau King Tay Grin response to the organizers who attempted to oust him from recent musical performance in Birmingham, UK.
Inviting renowned musicians and DJs from Malawi, Zambia, South Africa, Namibia, and other southern regions, the “Southern Africa Experience” musical event organizers set out to curate memorable musical journey.
Concern grew as the clock ticked down to the commencement of the event because the location had been changed to an unknown location.
Deteriorated location/venue
Organizers announced change of venue as fans were left stranded; nevertheless, the new, rundown location failed to impress the idea that it was in the United Kingdom or Birmingham.
Unlike other elegant venues in Birmingham, the new venue building gave the impression of being deserted.
The stage was whirlwind of emotions with no proper protocol, lighting, or sound.
 performances and timelines
Due to lack of suitable arrangements, the showcase had to be postponed for over five hours.
Several influential figures, including Zambian host Mutale Mwanza, as well as several of the scheduled musicians did not show up due to some other disagreements.
Despite the lengthy list of artists scheduled to play, organizers insisted that Nyau King Taygrin wrap up before his allocated  time, much to his dismay.
One fan lover narrated his experience to newsaih.com.

Mfumu yaimba nyimbo ziwiri, it was time to perform the 11 Million views song – Somone. Chongoti chitoliro po! He was forced to step down the stage, Now, Tay Grin is one person who values his fans. He had to mention that “his people” had paid sums of money to ENJOY the show as such, it was his responsibility to deliver to their expectations.

Nde anakakamiratu, Kuyesa kumutsitsa iye nganganga and amazing enough, the audience had his back, He told the people to tell the ones who were stopping him to “fokofu!” and the audience did as requested by the king. I swear it was another performance on its own. Akati, “Tay Grin, we wanna paaaartyyy!”
Onse kumayankhira kuti apa mfumu yabangula. Eventually, he was given a go ahead to perform the song.

Many Malawian fans still consider Tay Grin’s command as personal accomplishment, so it’s no surprise that they loved the floppy show and his performers.
An additional perspective on the show is poor management comes from social blogger Alice Andrews.
