SA woman gets 3 life sentence for murdering son and two Malawian lovers

According to court reports, Pamela Ncumisa Selani 47yrs of Olievenhoutbosch, South Africa,  killed her two lovers, Michael Changisa and Gift phiri from Malawi, as well as her adolescent son Avile Jonjwana.

After Selani learned that Michael Changisa had given her chronic illness, she and her former  partner got into fight in 2016.

few weeks after the fight, Selani begged Gift, her second love and local resident, to assist her in killing Changisa, her companion.

Plot to kill Changisa

Gift went to Selani and Changisa’s home one night and spent the night hiding in the restroom.

Changisa was left in the bedroom where he died after Gift sneaked out of the toilet and repeatedly struck him on the head with hammer in front of Selani’s two small children.

Changisa was interred in Selani’s yard by Gift and herself following the event.

Selani plot to kill gift by poisoning

After Gift moved into Selani’s home, the mother plotted to have Gift killed in 2017 along with her 17-year-old son Avile because Gift was mistreating her.

Next, the two submerged Gift’s head in water while poisoning him.

Selani kills own son with a hammer

He was laid to rest in the same grave as Changisa. According to reports, Selani killed her drug-addicted son Avile when he began threatening to report her to the authorities and demanded money from her.

After forcing his mother and younger sibling to leave the house one evening, Avile decided to stay at the nearby

home of her third partner.

They all went back to the house the next evening and took refuge in the yard.

As Avile was doing this, Selani urged her young son to sneak into the house and open the door.

Avile returned home and went directly to bed.

After then, Selani took hammer and struck Avile on the head several times until he passed away.

She then buried him in her yard on top of two other deceased people.

14 years spills the beans to local traditional healer

Because her other son, who is 14 years old, was not feeling well, Selani took him to a traditional healer on August 4, 2020. The youngster revealed to the healer during their visit that his mother had killed people.

The healer called a local official while feigning to be in need of assistance from another healer.

The youngster told the lealer the specifics of the killings when he got there, and later it was reported to the authorities.

On that day, Selani’s son was also taken into custody.

The son later became a state witness after the charges against him were dropped.

Selani refuted the accusations in court, but the judge declared her guilty despite her lack of regret and dubbed her conduct “evil.”

She denied committing the offenses and entered not guilty plea to the accusations brought against her.

Judge Papi Masopa noted that Selani had not expressed regret for her acts and that it was scant consolation that

her 14-year-old son had not also been killed.
