South Africa revenue authority targeting late Zahara’s estate for unpaid taxes

The estate of the late Zahara is being targeted by the South African Revenue Authority for unpaid taxes.

In response to a claim made by the revenue collector that the late Afropop sensation Zahara owed over R3 million in unpaid taxes, Sars is pursuing the estate of the singer.

The late musician, according to media critics in South Africa, owed the tax man an astounding R3 million in unpaid taxes, or around Ksh 21.7 million.

The singer’s family was organizing a music event to help gather money to repossess the house, while South Africans were questioning whether their taxman could issue a letter of demand for a deceased person.

On November 9, 1987, Zahara was born, and she passed away on December 11, 2023. According to reports, she was having problems with her liver.
