South Africa police constable was taken into custody for stealing a car.

Luckyboy Zabane, a police constable at Eden Park SAPS, has been taken into custody for allegedly stealing a Ford Ranger that was taken over.

After being taken over in Douglasdale, the car was found at Eden Park. The bakkie was later seen rushing out of the station, according to police reports, but they were unable to find it.

After being informed, the monitoring firm that had initially located the stolen car tracked the bakkie to a neighborhood known as Leopard Rest.

There, the car was found and recovered.

The tracking team was notified by gate security that the car had entered the residential sector while being escorted by an Eden Park police officer.

The security guard also said that the officer’s Fiat Uno was used by the driver of the stolen bakkie as it departed the property.

The police identified the officer as an Eden Park constable after reviewing video evidence.

The officer was taken into custody on charges of obstructing the course of justice, possessing stolen property, and the matter was submitted to the organized crime unit. An arrest warrant was also issued.
