Michael Chidozie, a 26-year-old Nigerian bodybuilder based in the United States, died tragically less than a month after a heated dispute turned deadly.
In the event, which took place on March 21st in their Houston, Texas apartment, Keaiirra Shavoiyae Chidozie, his wife, shot Chidozie many times before he passed away.
The couple’s argument reached a deadly height, according to Mail Online sources, when Mrs. Chidozie, 28, pulled out a revolver and shot her husband many times in front of their small children.
In the midst of the mayhem, authorities found Chidozie injured and his wife, along with their two children, ages two and three, in a neighboring parking lot.
Mrs. Chidozie was swiftly taken into custody by the authorities after the shooting and accused of carrying out the shooting.
While Chidozie battled for his life at Ben Taub Hospital, their kids were given to a family member.
He was saved, but not before suffering a catastrophic spinal damage and dying 18 days later from complications.
Mrs. Chidozie defended herself by saying she acted in self-defense and that she was afraid for her life when her husband followed her into their bedroom after their disagreement.
The precise reason behind the altercation is still unknown, though.
Mrs. Chidozie, who is now out on bond, is expected to return to court on May 23rd to answer to the accusations brought against her.
