The actor Pope Odonwodo, also referred to as Junior Pope, passed away just a few hours after receiving CPR at the First American Hospital in Asaba, Delta State.
The actor passed away at the hospital where he was undergoing treatment approximately five hours ago, according to Emeka Rowland, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
It was stated that he was pronounced dead but was able to regain consciousness and was in critical care at the hospital.

In the meanwhile, the AGN President has declared that any acting including riverine settings and boat rides would be suspended. Actors will also not be allowed to appear in any Adanma Luke-produced films.
Luke was the producer of the film in which the late actor Junior Pope starred before his tragic passing.
