Rapper Nicki Minaj, an American, said that she was detained on suspicion of possessing soft narcotics on Saturday at Amsterdam Schiphol airport.
Hours before she was scheduled to play a concert in Manchester, England, Minaj, 41, was taken into custody.
In a video that she uploaded to social networking platform X, the singer appeared to be informed by a Schiphol staff member that police intended to “search all her luggage.”
She stated in a subsequent post, “Now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls.”
It was announced on Saturday by Dutch military police that a 41-year-old American lady had been detained for possessing soft narcotics, and they added that it was against the law to bring such drugs outside of the country.
Although they did not provide the suspect’s identity, police stated that she was being held while they conducted an investigation.
The former judge of “American Idol” performed at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on Thursday, and on June 2, she is scheduled to return.
