Who killed Alan Wittika? Primary suspect claims he wasn’t in Malawi when it happened.

The court was informed by crime investigator Bauleni Thinda that he was satisfied with the evidence linking Lester Maganga to Allan Wittika’s death and thus secured a warrant for Maganga’s arrest. Additionally, he claims that at some point, the suspect intimidated and warned Wittika about her relationship with State witness Olive Nkhono. The accused was also dating Nkhono. Because I was happy with the information, I proceeded to get an arrest warrant. Although he claimed to not have been in the nation at the relevant period, Thinda maintains that the evidence supported his arrest. Defense attorney Lusungu Gondwe presented the witness with travel documentation during the court proceedings, which revealed that Maganga was absent from the nation from September 17 to September 25. The travel documentation consists of phone logs, a website for customs and border protection, electronic tickets, a passport, a visa, and bank transaction records made in the United States. According to the call logs, Maganga’s phone was not active  between September 17, 2023, the last day it was used, and September 25, 2023, the day it was active. The documents state that Maganga departed for the United States on September 17, 2023, and arrived back home via Chileka Airport in Blantyre on September 25, 2023. Chileka Airport entry and departure stamps are present in the passport. According to Thinda, he cannot believe the “call logs” because they are from “dubious authority.” When asked if he believed…

Mangochi Notorious criminal shot dead, Police officer injured.

After injuring a police officer during his defiance of arrest in the early hours of March 17, 2024, in Makawa, a suspected notorious criminal only known as Allen M’bwana was shot and killed by police. Police in Mangochi and Liwonde had been looking for M’bwana, an ex-convict who was also well-known for being a chronic criminal, in connection with a string of break-ins in the aforementioned regions. Makokola Police officers allegedly stormed his home after receiving a tip from neighbors. M’bwana took some time to open his door after pounding on it, and he eventually came out with breaking tools. The moment he unleashed his improvised iron spear, he wounded an officer in the right arm, sending him to the ground and gushing blood before M’bwana left the scene. The team fired into the air in response, but one bullet went astray and struck M’bwana in the right leg, bringing him to the ground. M’bwana passed away from his wounds from blood loss, but the officer is receiving treatment at Mangochi District Hospital after both of them were taken there in an ambulance.  Authorities are pleading with the public to report any similarities between the deceased person’s details and those of a known person to the closest police station.

Socialite Tamia Ja arrested after 8 million kwacha was transferred in her account by “mistake”

Tamia Ja, whose actual name is Hannah Jabes, was taken into custody by Lingadzi Police in Lilongwe on suspicion of stealing. Publicist Cassim Manda of the Lingadzi Police Station verified the arrest on Thursday afternoon. “We have detained Hannah Jabes, also known as Tamia Ja, in response to theft accusations, I can affirm. “She was arrested a few days ago after our officers received a complaint from a certain businessperson that Tamia Ja allegedly defrauded him of his K8, 000,000 after he mistakenly sent the cash to her account, which he wanted to send to someone,” Manda explained. Manda states that initially, the suspect confirmed receiving the money and informed the complainant that she was leaving for South Africa and would complete the transactions upon her return. Jabes then allegedly began acting strangely, refusing to return the money until her arrest, according to Manda.
