According to reports, Hope Chisanu, a well-known actor and broadcaster in the nation, passed away.
The actor’s death has been confirmed by his immediate family, and his nephew Roger Chisanu has posted about it on his WhatsApp status.
“Nyoni, fare thee well. He commented, “Kuchoka sitichoka choncho,” and sent a photo of the two.
A few of his relatives have also shared the information on their own social media platforms.
After moving to the US last year, Chisanu apparently became unwell there.
Chisanu became well-known as an actor because of his roles in films like Misnomer and The Last Fishing Boat.
He was employed with Malawi Broadcasting Corporation in the past.
