A surveillance video featuring American rapper Sean Diddy Combs physically abusing his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura, sometimes known as Cassie, during a March 2016 argument has been made public by CNN.
The footage supports the lawsuit that Cassie filed, which was eventually resolved in November 2023 and in which she accused Diddy of abusing her physically for years.
Cassie claimed that from the time she and Diddy first met in 2005 until 2018, the rapper constantly offered her drink and drugs. He made her sleep with male prostitutes while abusing her physically and sexually.
When Cassie is seen exiting the hotel room in the video, Diddy, who is covered in a towel, can be seen running after her. He grabs her by the neck, pushes her to the ground, and then kicks her.
Diddy recorded his abusive breakup with Cassie on camera.
After that, Cassie remains on the ground while the rapper carries her back to the room while gathering her bag and suitcase from outside the elevator.
When Cassie reaches for a hotel phone by the elevators, Diddy reappears and pushes her violently into a corner.
The rapper is seen hurling something at Cassie that appears to be a vase.
Cassie has refrained from commenting on the video since it went public, but her attorney Douglas H. Wigdor called it gut-wrenching and said it further supports Sean Diddy Combs’s “disturbing and predatory behavior.”
Words cannot describe the bravery and tenacity Ms. Ventura has displayed in speaking out and bringing this to light, according to Wigdor.
Since the video’s release, Combs has not released any statements.
