Charlene Ruto Breaks Silence On The Ongoing Nationwide Demos

The Kenyan Finance Bill is currently one of the trending Africa news that everyone is talking about.

President William Ruto’s daughter Charlene Ruto has reacted through her official twitter page on the ongoing protests against Finance Bill 2024.

Taking to her social media account, she said that she stands at a unique position regarding issues facing the country.

“I stand at a very unique position regarding the issues facing my country Kenya as we speak.

As a president’s daughter, I have no doubt in my mind, watching my father rise in politics for over 30 years, seeing his work and passion behind the scenes, that he truthfully holds the best interests of Kenyans at heart.

As a youth champion, I hear the cry of this generation and give my kudos that we not only care about current affairs, but have a stand and are willing to raise our concerns. This is a game changer. Let’s do it consistently, in an informed manner, with respect and honour. That is how we will be heard.May we dwell in unity, peace and liberty.A way will be made”. Said Charlene Ruto.

The finance bill in Kenya is all that sister countries are talking about when it comes to matters of trending Africa news.

Within less than two weeks, protests have been held across different parts of the country. The reason being, to reject the tables finance bill 2024.

In a bold act of defiance against over taxation, a daring youth was spotted atop an antiriot police lorry, making a powerful statement in Nairobi. Amidst chaotic scenes, the boy managed a daring escape from police custody only to reemerge in Nairobi’s CBD, continuing his protest.

His actions resonated deeply with onlookers, symbolizing the frustration many young Kenyans feel about the heavy tax burden. Witnesses described him as fearless, embodying the spirit of resistance against unjust policies.

The incident sparked debates across social media platforms, with many applauding his courage while others questioned the risks involved.In a country where economic policies often impact the youth disproportionately, this demonstration underscored the power of individual protest in bringing attention to systemic issues.

Death of protestors

Despite facing potential consequences, the youth’s determination to confront authorities in the heart of the capital city left an indelible mark on the ongoing discourse about taxation and governance in Kenya.

The Oddball Money Bill and Involve Parliament shows took a grievous turn the previous night when police purportedly shot a nonconformist, distinguished as Rex Kanyike, at roughly 7:00 PM.

As per reports, Kanyike, a young fellow, was taking part in the fights when the occurrence happened. Dissident Boniface Mwangi has uncovered that after the shooting, what was found in the pocket of Kanyike is his recognizable proof card and telephone at the hour of the episode.

Lobbyist Boniface Mwangi has separated from exposing the items found in Kanyike’s pockets, underscored that the young fellow knew about the expected provocation by the police for not conveying an ID.

As most have been protesting the finance bill 2024, lives have been lost.  So far, various political leaders and the church have condemned the issue and have urged those in charge to come up with a better way to solve the issue.
