Australian priest was stabbed during a church broadcast

Police in Wakeley, New South Wales, Australia, stated on Monday that a suspect has been taken into custody following the stabbing of a priest during a webcast.

According to law authorities, a “number” of other people were also stabbed.

According to a newsain.com video of the incident, a guy can be seen approaching the priest as he addresses the crowd.

The man appears to interrupt the speech, and he then starts physically assaulting the priest.

According to a statement from the New South Wales Police Force, “Officers arrested a male and he is assisting police with inquiries.” “The injured people suffered non-life threatening injuries and are being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics.”

At approximately 7:10 p.m. on Monday, police received a complaint regarding many injuries, so they deployed officers to a church on Welcome Street, according to the police.

Police issued a statement saying, “People are advised to avoid the area due to the large police response.”

What was used to attack the bishop is unclear.

One can hear the assembly yelling and running to support the bishop.

According to New South Wales Ambulance, the attack caused injuries to four people.

Along with a man in his 30s, a man in his 50s also had several lacerations and was rushed to the hospital in a bad condition.

At the scene, two men—one in his 20s and the other in his 60s—were treated.

The incident occurs after a stabbing attack at a Sydney retail center on Saturday resulted in the deaths of six people.

An cop confronted the attacker on her own and shot him to death.
