A 38-year-old Thohoyandou, South Africa, man was arrested for decapitating his 41-year-old brother and attacking his 32-year-old sister and her 10-year-old daughter.
The accused accused his siblings of witchcraft, resulting in a violent altercation.
The horrible deed occurred early Monday morning after the brothers argued, according to Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba.
The community is in shock at the violent outburst’s motive.
Tshidimbini village residents told News O’clock anonymously that the suspect accused his siblings of bewitching him during the confrontation.
Authorities found the victim’s severed head on a large stone outside the family house, startling them.
Mashaba said, “We found a human head at the gate and the decapitated body of the 41-year-old man tied up with a rope. The attack injured a 32-year-old lady and her 10-year-old daughter, who were brought to the hospital.
The culprit, arrested at the scene, utilized a hammer, spade, and sharp knife.
Real Mean Foundation chair Itani Nenguda was appalled by the violence.
Nenguda advised males to seek help for domestic troubles and avoid severe violence.
“Killing another person is not a solution for any problem,” he said, emphasizing the necessity for community conflict resolution.
