Following the vicious attack, Ian Njoroge was apprehended by flying squad officers and charged with violent robbery and resisting arrest at his court appearance.
Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko paid his $700,000 bond, and Ian Njoroge was released from police detention.
Subsequently, Sonko posted a message on Twitter, stating that Ian has pledged to improve and become a better student after realizing his faults.
He continued and begged for Kenyans’ pardon.
