Two law enforcement officials informed The Associated Press that federal officers from the Homeland Security Investigations division and other agencies searched two of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ houses in Miami and Los Angeles on Monday as part of a continuing investigation into sex trafficking.
Federal investigators in New York are currently looking into allegations of sex trafficking, according to the officials. Whether or not Combs was the one under scrutiny remains unclear.
The officials talked with The AP on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss inquiry details.
With the help of HSI Miami, HSI Los Angeles, and our local law enforcement partners, Homeland Security Investigations “executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation,” according to a statement. A spokesman for Combs was slow to react when asked for comment.
Combs has been the subject of multiple sexual assault cases in the past few months, one of which was resolved last year by R&B artist Cassie.
The lady who accused Combs of rape twenty years ago, when she was seventeen years old, was another accusation against the rap mogul.
