Following a mourning ceremony in Lilongwe and Mzuzu, the Candle Lighting Ceremony will take place in Blantyre and Zomba.
The ceremony will begin at Chichiri Upper Stadium at 3 p.m. and end in Zomba Gymkana at 5 p.m.
In celebration of a generational hero, attendees are urged to bring a candle to ignite a shining legacy.
